[KWPTA] (Correction Update)HELP NEEDED: Bingo Night 2018 Food Fundraiser

Hello again,

I wanted to take this time to clarify that the date of two separate event: 1.  The date homemade meals will need to be picked up  & 2. The date Bingo Night will happen

What: Homemade Meals Fundraiser
When: Monday, December 10th
Where: The staff Lounge will serve as the main place during the school day where staff can pick up their orders should they not want their meal delivered to their classroom. Parents picking up orders during school hours (11am - 1 pm) should also go to pick up meals in staff lounge too. Come dismissal (3:00 pm) our volunteering group of parents will set up a table by school store where the general public who opted to pick up their meals between 3 - 5 pm can pick up their meals.

—————————————————————————————————————————

What: Bingo Night
When: Friday, December 14th
Where: The school gym

Again, pardon me for any confusion I may have caused you. And just so you the reason that the bulletin board that gets used as a backdrop for the videos says December 14th is because it is being used to only promote Bingo Night to the students. The only three places I am promoting the Homemade Meals Fundraiser are on Twitter, YouTube and this listserv.

Sincerely,
Arturo Ramirez

Greetings Barrett Community,

The contents of this email is really long and the following video clip can serve to save you some time in reading the full email. Just make sure to go back and read the email to help us out with our fundraiser efforts for Bingo Night. Click on the following link:

I am resending email Incase previous email was not received.

I want to take this time to invite you and your family to our school's next PTA sponsored event in the month of December, Bingo Night. As many of you know, this event is one of the most successful and popular evening events coordinated by parents belonging to our school's Friday volunteer group. The goal of this group that evening is to create and promote an engaging and welcoming environment for all Barrett families, which in turn will also serve to facilitate fundraising efforts for the event. This year the group has decided that the best way to raise these funds and promote Bingo Night is by feeding you!

Yes, you read that correctly. Our group of volunteering parents want to offer you up a delicious hot plate of home-cooked latin food that you cannot buy anywhere else! And furthermore, all the funds allocated from the sale of this event will go directly towards raising more money for educational and teacher related activities that benefit our whole school.

Attached below are a few photos of what we will be selling to you on Monday, December 10th. If you are interested in purchasing the following meal, you MUST place your order before Wednesday, December 5th. We are asking for $10 a plate for ONLY the meal.

The above plate features the following items: a strip of marinated beef steak, white rice, salad and two tortillas.

In addition to the food, we will also offer up two traditional drinks that can commonly be found in many of Spanish speaking parents homes. Attached below is the picture of these two drinks. Each of these drinks will cost you $2 and can be added to your food purchase upon request. Adding a drink to your order will only further enhance the experience.

Staff, the best part is that we can deliver your order to your classroom during your lunch break or you can come pick it up in the staff lounge. Furthermore, you can also place an order to go and pick it up before the end of the day. And if you want to go the extra mile of ordering for your family that is even better. We would be more than happy to feed your family too.

Barrett parents, why not let our group of volunteering parents feed your family? I am sure that you too would be welcoming of a home cooked meal that you did not have to cook on a Monday night.
Parents since we are in the season of giving, why not buy a meal for your child's teacher or any of the 100 plus staff members that work at Barrett? Talk about making a staff member's day.
Now here is what you have to do to take advantage of this deal. Click on the following google link, fill out all of the necessary information and do not forget to send in your payment before the 5th of December.

Link to place your order:

Everyone purchasing food for themselves, their family or anyone else will be notified to pick up their order through an email or by phone if no email is given byFriday, December 7th. However, orders will not be placed if a payment is not made by Wednesday, December 5th.

Cash or check payments should be sent in an envelope addressed to Mr. Ramirez along with the following information: Your name, email address and number meals and drinks you are  purchasing. Please make sure to make all payments payable to the Barrett PTA.

Teachers, if we notice that a parent has decided to sponsor you and you have already made your purchase we will simply just notify you and return your payment to you. Furthermore, all sponsored teachers will be notified of their sponsorship regardless of them buying a meal from us as we are aware that not everyone eats meat.

For those of you who are parents and would like to pick up your order after school please know that we can help you with that too. The way that will work out is that you will have to pick up your order before 5 pm in the main lobby. All you will have to do is provide the person at the table with your name and your order will be given to you.

Thank you so much for supporting our community with your purchase. If you have any questions that were not answered in this email or would like to help out in some way please let me know.

Lastly, I plan to continuously update my YouTube channel with content that allows you to be more engaged with our community at Barrett. If you subscribe to the channel you will always be up to date with the happenings at Our school.  So what are  you waiting for? Subscribe! To subscribe to the channel hit the notification bell twice. Thanks!
