HOORAY, the Read A Thon officially starts TODAY!
A HUGE THANKS goes to the 102 students with Read A Thon webpages already set up - Way to go!!
Remember we only have 11 days (March 1- 11, 2019) of reading and collecting donations, so don't delay!
This weather is not cooperating!! A second letter with your child's Read A Thon secret code, along with a bookmark, would have come home today in Friday folders. You'll need their secret code to set up their Read A Thon page and collect donations. If you didn't get the first letter and want to get your webpage set up asap, send me an email.
Your Read A Thon checklist:
- Set up your child(ren)'s Read A Thon webpage
- Make a donation to your child's webpage! (Support your child's reading, plus it is our one and only big fundraiser for this school year) 😊
- Have you emailed, texted, posted or tweeted out your child's Read A Thon page friends, coworkers, family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, etc.)? Use the power of social media to reach our goal of raising $10,000!
- Have your child read for at least 10 minutes each day during the Read A Thon.
- Log in the number of minutes your child reads daily on their webpage (Use the handy timer on their webpage to keep track of the 10 minutes).
- Take a pic of your child reading and tweet it using the hashtags #KWBReadAThon19 and #KWBPride to enter your child into the Catch a Tiger Reading Raffle. All readers using the hashtag #KWBReadAThon19 will be entered into a raffle to win a prize.
- Thursday March 7th is Book Character dress up day for the kids

- ¿Ha enviado correos electrónicos, mensajes de texto, publicaciones o twiteados en la página de Read A Thon de sus hijos, compañeros de trabajo, familiares (abuelos, tías, tíos, padrinos, etc.)? ¡Usa el poder de las redes sociales para alcanzar nuestro objetivo de recaudar $ 10,000!
- Haga que su hijo lea por lo menos 10 minutos cada día durante el programa Read A Thon.
- Registre la cantidad de minutos que su hijo lee diariamente en su página web (use el práctico temporizador en su página web para mantener un registro de los 10 minutos).
