Hi, Barrett Families!
R.E.A.D. is super excited to be hosting the Barrett Book Fair again this year! Come to the kick-off on MONDAY, 11/4 from 6pm - 8pm for Family Shopping Movie & Pizza Night!
We took all of the feedback we received last year and made changes accordingly. We will have:
- twice as many title offerings this year (over 600)
- three times as many actual books (almost 2000 vs 600 last year...which will help with less preorders)
- three times as many titles under $10 (not including discount books)
- three times as many Spanish/bilingual titles
- a discount table
- PLUS the brand new Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Wrecking Ball #14) (let your kids know that we heard them loud and clear) and the new Sofia Valdez, Future Prez (#4 in the Questioneers picture book series)
Our check-out system has been updated to Square registers with scanners and all, which should make the process run more quickly, and we will have our own WiFi.
What this all means is IT WILL BE A GREAT BOOK FAIR! Please come check it out.
Remember: When you buy a book at the book fair, 20% of the sales will return to the Barrett PTA and the remaining revenue will be used to purchase new, free books for babies and young children living in poverty who are enrolled in R.E.A.D. programs.
