Happy New Year!
A reminder that our Arlington Public School Board member, Tannia Talento, will be at our next PTA meeting on Tuesday, January 7, at 6:00 p.m. She will discuss APS school board's role as it relates to the Elementary School Planning/Boundary Process. While we will be able to raise our concerns with the APS process and the current recommended proposals, we look forward to hearing from Ms. Talento on how we can best advocate for Barrett, factors APS is considering as they move forward on the proposals, and any other guidance she has for us during this process.
We hope that you will be able to attend this very important PTA meeting - to show Ms. Talento that we are concerned about the boundary change process, that we are engaged in the process, and that we are united in this effort to call for APS to maintain the current Barrett boundary.
Since the meeting will start at 6:00 p.m. - an hour earlier than our usual time - we will provide pizza for everyone during the meeting. Free child care (and pizza) will be provided as well.
