Dear Barrett Family and Community Members:
Over the past few days, you should have received a packet of information (and forms) through students' backpack mail seeking contributions for our Biennial Spring Auction and Social.
Our auction will be held on Saturday, April 25, at the Continental Pool Lounge in Rosslyn. We are very much looking forward to a night of fun as we celebrate more than 80 years of Barrett with an 80s theme auction party. Additional information, including how to purchase tickets for the event, will be soon forthcoming from our Auction Committee.
As you consider ideas to donate to our auction effort - as well as attend and bid on auction items - I hope you take a moment to read our annual newsletter (attached in English and Spanish) that highlights all of the events and grants that are funded through our PTA budget - as well as all of the activities we have been involved with this year to support our wonderful school. [Hardcopies are available on bookcase outside front office.]
I particularly want to note that our effort would not have been possible without the financial support (and volunteer time) from Barrett parents and members of our school community. In addition, the financial stewardship of the past PTA board has allowed us to do a lot of new things (classroom grants, t-shirts, etc.) so far this school year - we were very fortunate to inherit a healthy PTA budget. As such, we are very grateful for the support everyone has given to our PTA and our community.
We had a very successful auction in 2018 (raising $30,000!) and look forward to another fun, successful Auction this year!

En los últimos días, debería haber recibido un paquete de información (y formularios) a través del correo de la mochila de los estudiantes en los cuales buscamos contribuciones para nuestra Subasta Social Bienal de la Primavera.
Nuestra subasta se llevará a cabo el sábado 25 de abril en el Continental Pool Lounge en Rosslyn. Estamos ansiosos por una noche de diversión mientras celebramos más de 80 años de Barrett con una Subasta al estilo de los años 80's.
