Dear Barrett Families,
Next week, Monday, May 4 – Friday May 8, is TEACHER APPRECIATION week! I mean, what better time to let our spectacular teachers know we are thinking about them, we miss them, and we are appreciating everything they are doing for our students!
If you can, please take a couple of minutes to assist your student in creating a "Thank-you" for their teacher, and the specials teachers. Here are some quick and easy ideas:
*Take a picture of your student holding up a handmade Thank-you sign, and send it in an email (teacher list attached) or Seesaw to your teacher;
*Shoot a 6 second video of your student thanking a teacher, and send it in an email (teacher list attached) or Seesaw to your teacher
*Use a free online e-card service to send a thank-you note to your teacher: examples -

*Make a chalk drawing Thank-you with your student for your teacher, and take a picture and send it in an email or Seesaw to your teacher
Unlike previous years, room parents are not being asked to put a class project together. However, if you are a room parent and feel you have a special class project in mind and in your bandwidth, please do so!
Also this year in lieu of the usual activities the PTA sponsors to show our appreciation during this special week, we will be using those funds to purchase an e-gift card for every teacher to be delivered directly to them via email.

¡La próxima semana, lunes 4 de mayo - viernes 8 de mayo, es la semana de APRECIACIÓN DEL MAESTRO! Quiero decir, ¡qué mejor momento para que nuestros espectaculares maestros sepan que estamos pensando en ellos, los extrañamos y apreciamos todo lo que están haciendo por nuestros estudiantes!
Si puede, tómese un par de minutos para ayudar a su estudiante a crear un "Gracias" para su maestro y los maestros especiales. Aquí hay algunas ideas rápidas y fáciles:
* Tome una fotografía de su estudiante sosteniendo un cartel de agradecimiento hecho a mano y envíelo por correo electrónico (lista de maestros adjunta) o balancín a su maestro;

A diferencia de años anteriores, no se les pide a los padres de la sala que organicen un proyecto de clase. Sin embargo, si usted es un padre de familia y siente que tiene un proyecto de clase especial en mente y en su ancho de banda, ¡hágalo!
También este año en lugar de donas y café, y el desayuno caliente como se hizo en el pasado, la PTA está contribuyendo con fondos para una tarjeta de regalo electrónica para que cada maestro sea entregado directamente a ellos por correo electrónico.
