Our next PTA meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 4 at 7:00 pm (dial-in information below).  Please find attached the Agenda, Treasurer's Report, and April Minutes (with a slight correction to the list of Exemplary Programs to include Project Discovery).

Tomorrow, we will be joined by Dr. Barbara Kanninen, who in addition to being an APS School Board Member, is a leadership member of the Arlington Complete Vaccination Committee (CVC), a volunteer group established by the Arlington County Manager to increase awareness of the COVID-19 vaccine.  Among other vaccination topics, we will discuss ways to help improve vaccination rates among the immigrant and economically-disadvantaged community.  A recent Washington Post article and other media have pointed to challenges for immigrants in getting vaccines after sites request specific documentation not mandated by states or the federal government.  Hopefully, our PTA meeting will provide our families with pertinent information and allay any fears in registering (or receiving) the vaccination shots.

We will also vote on the new PTA Board members at the Meeting, so we hope you can join us!
