[KWPTA] APS boundary meetings

Below are opportunities to weigh in on the APS planning process, I'll keep trying to get a representative to attend a PTA meeting as well but it will not be until the New Year.

Good Afternoon, I hope this email finds you well.

 

Thank you for writing to us on Elementary Planning and for sharing information with your school community.

 

During this process we appreciate and welcome all of the questions from all of our school communities and we continue to receive input through our questionnaire (through Nov. 24) and our engage email system (engage@apsva.us). In order for us to be responsive in an efficient way, we continue to populate our FAQs section of the Engage Webpage and produce facebook posts (next one scheduled Nov. 22). Because we are unable to meet in person with all of our school communities, we are determining the most efficient way to share information in a consistent way and be responsive to all requests from PTAs and our families.

 

Opportunities for engagement:

Join APS on Nov. 22 for our next Friday Facebook Live video session, and for a Community Meeting:

  • Dec. 9, 7-8:30 p.m.: Swanson Middle School (5800 N. Washington Blvd.)—includes interpretation for Spanish, Amharic, Arabic and Mongolian, and will be broadcast live online
  • Dec. 10, 6:30-8 p.m.: Central Library (1015 N. Quincy St.)—includes interpretation for Spanish, Amharic, Arabic and Mongolian
  • Dec. 13, 12-1 p.m.: Webinar (details forthcoming)
  • Dec. 16, 7-8:30 p.m.: In Spanish with English interpretation - Kenmore Middle School (200 S. Carlin Springs Rd.)
