[KWPTA] HELP WANTED: The United Nations Asssembly / Heritage Assembly 2019

Hello  Barrett families,

I write to inform you that this coming Friday is our United Nations Assembly, and each of you are invited to this event that will take place in the gym starting at 9 AM.

For those of you that need the refresher, this is the event where Barrett students are encouraged to dress up in the traditional clothing that they own. Last year we had 90 students participate and 40 countries represented. My hope is that we can all work together to encourage our children to participate in this assembly. Oh, and do not forget that parents are also encouraged to participate in our heritage parade.

Furthermore, the other reason that I am writing to you is because I need your help with the event. Here are three ways that you can help me out with this event:

  1. I need help setting up for this event in the gym this Thursday afternoon starting at 4:30 PM. If you can commit to volunteering an hour of your time this Thursday please reply to this email and let me know. In the past we have tried setting up the morning of the event and have struggled start the assembly on time.
  2. I need help with crowd control in the library the morning of the event. If you can volunteer your time for this event then you should be expect to arrive in the library by 8:30 AM. Volunteers will most likely help dress a lot of the younger students who may not know who put on their traditional clothing.
  3. I need help cleaning up after the assembly. Volunteers will either put away audio material, put raisers back in the music room or help stack metal chairs that audience members sat on during the assembly.
Should you be available please contact me as soon as possible at my cellphone number: (703)609-3920 Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Arturo Ramirez
