Barrett Community,
-- Since our distribution effort last Wednesday, we have continued to receive donations from the Barrett community, as well as inquiries on how/if you can continue to help. Through your generous contributions, along with the efforts of GoFund Me's One Pantry at a Time, we were able to distribute $50 grocery gift cards to every family who requested one - 169 families in all. Thank you!
Because of the continuing need of many struggling Barrett families during this pandemic, we believe that we should do another round of grocery gift card distribution. As of today, we have $800 still available from our first round of donations. In addition, we are working with the One Pantry at a Time effort led by Arlington teachers/residents to receive an additional $5000 worth of gift cards.
For our next distribution (in early May), we hope to be able to provide gift cards to as many as 200 Barrett families. So, we are setting a goal of raising another $5,000 - to match the $5,000 in gift cards we will hopefully be receiving from One Pantry at a Time - to be able to provide 200 Barrett families with another $50 grocery gift card.

Finally, the Barrett PTA is also looking at providing funding to purchase school supplies for students of Barrett families in need.
